Is Time on Your Side?

Have you ever stood at a crossroads and been completely overwhelmed? So many different paths all glowering at you, tapping their foot, impatiently waiting for you to make your decision…a decision that could be life-altering. There never seems to be enough time when it comes to making important decisions. Why do they have to feel so rushed? I have a friend who often reminds me that we have time. Time to wait, time to see what happens, time to relax and not worry about making decisions right away. However, if you drag them out, you spend most of your time stressing and fretting about them, which is exhausting. So, most of us just take that step, take that leap and chose a path. If you are lucky, you trusted your gut and chose the right path, the path that may be a little bumpy, because…you know life…but overall a very manageable path. Maybe you chose the lackluster path in hopes of smooth sailing, but is that really a thing? Can you float through this life unscathed? Maybe the more adventurous souls chose the enticing path, the path that starts out all sunshine and good feelings but before you know it the storms are raging against you and you are ill-prepared. So which is better, the mundane path with very little excitement but is comfortable or the beguiling path with potential for a lot of upset but also a lot of greatness? That is a tough question. This is why some of us stand at a crossroads not making that decision. It’s hard to tell which path will be worth it, which path will bring you joy, which path you are called to be on. Honestly, I wish throwing your hands in the air and refusing to decide anything was a viable decision! That’s the path I would choose. No, that is the path I am going tochoose! I’m going to take my friend’s advice and tell myself I have time. I can ride this out and take my time before decisions are made. “Impatience can cause wise people to do foolish things.” Janette Oke

**I know this is a rather vague post and I know it will cause some of you to check in on me. I’m good…still smiling…just thinking while I do. This post was written in a way that it could apply to any decision any of us are trying to make. Decisions are hard, y’all! It’s okay to take some time to think them through. Much love to each and every one of you! Thanks for supporting my efforts with this craft.

I love how this post is vague enough be applicable to everyone’s life, yet specific enough to apply to a specific decision in your life. With every decision, there is always an easy choice and a right choice. Choose your life wisely!
